John McPhee, CPA, Senior Staff Accountant
John joined the firm in 2003. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1994 from Chadron State College in Nebraska. In 2000 he earned his CPA Certification. His experience in auditing government and not-for-profit entities is an asset to the firm. He is proficient in performing compilations, reviews, and agreed-upon procedure engagements. His skills include preparing individual, partnership, corporation, not-for-profit, tax exempt organizations, and estate and trust tax returns. Professionally he is a member of AICPA and the Wyoming Society of CPAs. While serving in the United States Army, John received a Good Conduct Medal and 2 Army Achievement Medals. As a young man, John earned the Boy Scouts of America's rank of Eagle Scout. In his leisure time, he enjoys fishing, hiking, camping, golfing, and board games.
Cynthia Olson, CPA, Senior Staff Accountant
Cynthia graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. In July of 2001 she earned her CPA Certificate. Cynthia joined the firm in March of 2006 after working for ten years in government accounting. Her experience in budgets, fixed assets and depreciation schedules has been an asset to the firm. Since joining the firm, she has gained experience in preparing tax returns and various audits. She is also experienced in different accounting software such as QuickBooks and Excel spreadsheets. Prior to her work in government accounting, Cynthia worked for a major food chain as a department manager. Professionally she is a member of the AICPA and the Wyoming Society of CPAs. She is active in church choir and a church women's group. Cynthia is married, has one daughter and a miniature dachshund. In her leisure, she enjoys walking, river rafting, and reading.
Misty Wolcott, CPA, Staff Accountant
Misty joined the firm in March 2005. She received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting in December 2007 from the University of Wyoming. She passed the CPA exam in January 2008. Prior to joining the firm, she had bookkeeping experience in both the retail and service industries. She worked part-time in the bookkeeping department at Lovelett, Skogen and Associates while earning her degree. She received an Associate of Business degree in Accounting from Casper College in May 2006. She also received an Associate of Science degree in Agri-Business from Casper College in December 2006, before transferring to the University of Wyoming to complete her education. During her time at Casper College, Misty served as secretary/treasurer for the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. She also served as treasurer for Beta Alpha Psi during her time at the university. When not working, Misty keeps very busy with her husband and four children, enjoying the outdoors and the many sports they participate in.
Cid Walck, CPA, Staff Accountant
Cid joined the firm in September 2008. She came to us with over ten years experience in tax preparation. Also included in her work experience are fourteen years of governmental accounting. She received her accounting degree from the University of Wyoming and her CPA certification from the State of Wyoming. Her favorite activities include backpacking, biking, hiking and cross country skiing.
Holly Wren, Staff Accountant
Holly joined the firm in May 2007. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in May 2009 from the University of Wyoming. She is currently sitting for the CPA exam. She worked part-time as an intern in the bookkeeping department at Lovelett, Skogen and Associates while working on her degree. While working as an intern she gained experience in accounting software such as Quickbooks and Creative Solutions. In addition to working at Lovelett, Skogen and Associates she worked at the family business where she restored classic cars. In her leisure time, she enjoys camping, boating, running, softball, volleyball, and cheering on the Denver Broncos.
Cora Miligy, Staff Accountant
Cora joined the firm September, 2009 coming to us from Syracuse, NY. She graduated with a bachelors of science in accounting and accounting information systems in 2008 as well as her Masters in Business Administration in Accounting in 2009. Both degrees are from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. She is currently working towards her CPA license. Before moving to Wyoming to join the firm, Cora interned at a regional firm in New York. Cora moved to Wyoming for a new experience and a great opportunity. She enjoys all recreational sports, the outdoors, spending time with friends and family, laughing, and traveling.
